State police have charged a man from New Jersey with theft and forgery.
Police say around 1:15 PM on Friday, a man identified only as a 30-year-old man from Jersey City, New Jersey used multiple counterfeit $20 bills at the PetCo and at Olympia Sports in White Township. He was identified and placed into custody. Police say that this suspect is known for this crime, and local businesses should be on the alert for any of these suspicious bills that come through. Police recommend checking the $20s using Bill ID Machines or using a special ink marker that will show if a bill is counterfeit or not.
