Last night, the board approved sending a cancellation notice to their current substitute provider and approve an agreement with Kelly Services, Inc. to supply substitute teachers, teacher aides, instructional aides, and administrative assistants effective July 1st. In other business, radon levels were discussed in the buildings, grounds and transportation committee report. The radon testing went on while students were out on winter break, and many of the buildings were within acceptable levels, but board member Terry Kerr said that there were two rooms that had radon levels that required action.

He said that the levels present in the two rooms were not at levels that would damage someone’s health, but they were at levels that required remediation, which has already started. There will be future radon tests done to make sure the remediation efforts in those rooms work.
