Troopers are investigating a case of child welfare endangerment in West Wheatfield Township. State police say that the mother of the two victims, two boys ages 10 and 11 years old, arrived at the state police station on Wednesday afternoon and made a report of events regarding endangering the welfare of a child by a 40-year-old North Apollo Borough man. Charges have not been filed yet, but the investigation is ongoing.
State police have charged a Blairsville man with violating a protection from abuse order. The details on how the order was violated were not released, neither were the names of those involved, but police do say that the victim, a 41-year-old Blairsville woman, notified police about a 46-year-old man violating the PFA on Tuesday around 7:30 PM at a location on Old William Penn Highway. Charges were filed through district court.
State police are looking for someone who damaged a yard in Black Lick Township. Police say that an unknown person drove a vehicle through a yard of a 60-year-old Homer City man sometime on Thursday, causing damage.
