After taking Thursday night’s game against Bowie, the Altoona Curve failed to make it two in a row on Friday night as they fell to the Baysox, 3-2, at PNG Field.
Matt Gorski and Andres Alvarez each went 2-for-4 with a RBI in the game while Brendt Citta went 1-for-3 with a double.
Kyle Nicolas earned the loss for Altoona after giving up a pair of runs over 4.2 innings pitched. He left the game in the fifth with an undisclosed injury, making way for reliever Brad Case, who allowed one earned run and tallied a pair of strikeouts over 4.2 innings of relief.
The Curve look to even the series tonight against Bowie. They’ll send RHP Luis Ortiz (1-2, 4.74 ERA) to the mound. First pitch is 6 p.m.
