Teenagers that are interested in learning the everyday duties of a Pennsylvania State Game Warden now have an opportunity to.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission announced on Thursday that one-day Junior Game Warden Camps will take place this summer and those interested have the opportunity to learn about the job and the Game Commission’s mission of managing and protecting state wildlife and habitats. In addition, it will promote hunting and trapping.
Campers will join Game Wardens in learning about wildlife forensics and methods used to catch poachers and solve wildlife-related crimes. Other activities include light physical fitness, wildlife-capture techniques, woodland tracking, outdoor survival and hands-on learning stations.
Those interested that live in Indiana County can attend the Game Commission’s camp in Bolivar on Friday, July 22, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
