Indiana Borough Police have arrested a Lancaster man for a shooting and robbery in the 600 block of School Street.
Borough police were called out last night at 11:48 PM for a report of shots fired at the Crimson Square Apartments. When officers got there, they detained a man trying to leave the area. The victims said that the suspect, later identified as Olajuwon Kadeem Ali Lewis of Lancaster, pulled a gun on them and demanded money and drugs. He struck one of the victims in the head with the handgun he had, took a firearm that belonged to one of the victims, and fired a shot from his own gun into the ceiling.
Lewis allegedly took about $300 from one victim, a firearm from a second victim, $17 from a third victim, and a small amount of marijuana.
The victims were able to positively identify Lewis as their attacker. He is charged with robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and other crimes. Lewis was arraigned and placed in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for February 5th.
