Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an incident in which someone passed counterfeit money at a store in White Township, and troopers are asking the public to help identify the suspect.
Police say the incident happened at 7:23 PM on April 20th at the Dollar General Store in the Indiana West Shopping Plaza in White Township. At that time, an unknown woman passed three counterfeit $100 bills during two transactions at the store. In the first transaction, she used the fake money to purchase a $25 Starbucks card and received $75 back in change. In the other incident, she used the remaining $200 to load a Vanilla Visa Prepaid gift card in her possession. The suspect left the store after that. After the bills were deposited in the bank, it was discovered that the money was fake.
The woman was described as in her mid-20’s. She was wearing black shoes and sweatpants and a black hooded sweatshirt with the letters B and W across the chest.
