Things turned busy on Sunday for Indiana County first responders.
Indiana County 911 reports that Saltsburg Volunteer Fire Department was called out at 4:56 AM to a location on Salt Street to assist with a medical call.
A structure fire was reported at 8:55 AM by Indiana County 911 along Water Street in Indiana Borough. Indiana Fire Association companies 4 and 1 were dispatched at the time. No details are available yet on this call.
Three automatic fire alarm activations were reported on Sunday. The first was at 9:39 AM on Glenwood Avenue in Glen Campbell Borough. The Glen Campbell Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at that time. At 12:30 PM, Blairsville and Black Lick fire crews were called out to an address on Old William Penn Highway. The alarm activated due to what was termed a “cooking mishap”, and all units were cancelled. At 4:12 PM, Indiana Fire Association companies 2 and 3 were dispatched to Pratt Drive in White Township for another automatic fire alarm activation.
Finally, Armagh Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched for a call of utility lines down on Rager Road in East Wheatfield Township. This was at 11:51 last night.
