A day after their five-game winning streak was stopped, Altoona dropped its second straight game, 5-4 to Harrisburg.
The Senators’ Jake Alu hit a two-run walkoff double in the 9th for the win. Curve third baseman Jared Triolo was 3-for-4 and second baseman Nick Gonzalez was 2-for-5.
The Curve got both pitcher Luis Ortiz and outfielder Lolo Sanchez back from their four-game league suspensions yesterday. Both had been out since a bench-clearing incident against Richmond on May 22nd. Ortiz started the game for Altoona yesterday and went six innings, giving up two runs and at one point retiring 16 batters in a row. Sanchez had a game-tying RBI single in the 8th inning.
The Curve will be off today and open a six-game series tomorrow night at PNG Field. Carmen Mlodzinski will get the start for Altoona.
