UPDATE: State police from the Indiana Barracks arrested the driver of a passenger vehicle on suspicion of DUI in connection with the crash between a car and a school bus Friday on Route 286 in White Township.
Police say that an un-named 31-year-old Indiana Man was driving an Hyundai sedan on Route 286 at 2:11 PM when the car crossed the center line and collided head-on with the bus carrying 14 River Valley students headed back from ICTC. None of the students nor the driver were injured, but the driver of the sedan had minor injuries. He was arrested by state police, and later released. Charges are pending the results of laboratory blood tests.

A two-vehicle accident involving an ICTC school bus left one person with minor injuries yesterday in White Township.
The crash was reported in the 3:00 hour on Route 286 near Airport Road and Hamill Road. A school bus transporting kids from ICTC to the River Valley High School collided with what Indiana Fire officials called a passenger vehicle. The bus was carrying 14 kids at the time. None of the kids nor the bus driver were injured. After impact, the other vehicle collided with a utility pole. The pole was damaged, and the driver of the other vehicle had a small cut. No other injuries were reported.
Crews were on the scene for about 90 minutes to clear the scene. School officials were also on-scene investigating. The kids were moved to a new bus and returned to River Valley.
Along with the fire department, state police, Citizens’ Ambulance and Penelec crews were on the scene.
