The Pittsburgh Penguins earned their eighth victory in a row with a 4-0 shutout victory over the Winnipeg Jets.
The scoring started with Olli Maatta, who picked up his first goal of the season at 14:19 mark of the first period. Also scoring in the first was Matt Cullen, who picked up his 4th of the season less than a minute later. In the second period, it looked like a shot that Dominik Simon was caught by Winnipeg goalie Connor Hellebuyck at the 14:39 mark, but after video review, the ruling was that the puck crossed the goal line before it went into the glove, and it was a good goal. The final goal came on an empty netter from Kris Letang at the 16:38 mark of the third period.
Matt Murray stopped 33 shots en route to the shut out.
The Pens next game is Sunday night against Chicago. You can hear the game at 6:00 on U92.5 FM and the U92.5 Sports Channel
