Indiana’s Giant Eagle has been included in a list of stores that are taking part in a recall of baked goods that possibly contain contaminated peanut butter.
Reports say that the items were sold at the Giant Eagle locations in Indiana, Ebensburg and Northern Cambria stores. The voluntary recall was issued as the peanut butter used in the baked goods could potentially be contaminated with salmonella. The affected products were sold in clam-shell packaging with dates through May 28th. The affected products have the following PLU numbers:

- 47778
- 50229
- 51157
- 51359
- 51360
- 97655
There have been no reports of illness connected with the recalled items and the company was made aware of the issue during an investigation into the nationwide Jif brand peanut butter recall.
Customers who purchased any affected products are asked to dispose of them or return a qualifying receipt to Giant Eagle for a refund. Further questions can be directed to the Giant Eagle Customer Care line at 1-800-553-2324 between 8 AM and 8 PM Monday through Friday.
