WHITE TOWNSHIP
A Strongstown man was injured Sunday in a two-vehicle crash on Wayne Avenue at Old Route 119 in White Township.
It happened at about 11:20 AM when 23-year-old Thomas Rhine of Greensburg slowed for a vehicle in front of him that was pulling off the highway, but was struck from behind by a vehicle operated by 68-year-old Norman Strong of Strongstown. Rhine was not injured but Strong was taken to the Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment of suspected minor injuries.
EAST MAHONING TOWNSHIP
State police have issued a report on a February 18th accident on Route 403 in East Mahoning Township. Police say 47-year-old Paul Hicks of Marion Center was driving under the influence of alcohol when his pickup struck a utility pole, went over a hillside, and hit a tree. Hicks was not wearing a seatbelt and was flown to UPMC Altoona with serious injuries.
