A preliminary hearing originally scheduled for today for an Indiana woman in an alleged murder-for-hire plot has been re-scheduled for next month.
33-year-old Amber Plavi is charged with solicitation to three crimes – criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and burglary – for allegedly trying to hire a man to kill her estranged fiancé, Ryan Fritz. She is accused of offering to split Fritz’s life insurance money with 34-year-old Jonathan McLaurine of Indiana if he would do the killing.
On February 18th, Plavi was taken into custody after an investigation initiated when a confidential informant tipped off Indiana Borough police in January. Her hearing is now scheduled before District Judge Jennifer Rega on April 12th at 10:15 AM.
