A Philadelphia man suffered minor injuries in a two-car vehicle crash that occurred on May 10.
State police say that shortly before 11:30 a.m. that morning, a car driven by 25-year-old Shakur Puckett was travelling east on Route 22 near Pine Ridge Road in Burrell Township when he attempted to change lanes and struck another car driven by 47-year-old Michael Teeter of Johnstown.
Puckett’s car struck a ditch after traveling off the right side of the road and ultimately hit a tree around 200 feet away.
Puckett sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown for treatment. Teeter was uninjured in the crash.
Troopers add that Puckett was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance and charges are pending lab results.
