SOFTBALL
Heritage Conference softball champion Cambria Heights started its District 6 playoff run with a 12-2 win over Forest Hills yesterday. Karli Storm collected three hits in the game with her final hit ending it. Lexi Griak collected a three-run home run for the Highlanders.
Also in Class 3A, the River Valley Panthers fell to Westmont Hilltop, 11-1, yesterday.
Hannah Foust took the loss after giving up five runs on the mound. Bailey Dunlap went 2-for-2, while Tori Foust collected an RBI double.
Cambria Heights will take on Westmont in the Class 3A semifinal on Thursday.
CLASS 2A
MARION CENTER – 15 WEST SHAMOKIN – 4
MC will travel to Southern Huntington on Thursday in the D6 Class 2A semifinal game. The winner of that will face either Juniata Valley or Claysburg-Kimmel in the championship game.

BASEBALL
After coming back to beat West Branch, 9-7, on Thursday, the Marion Center Stingers baseball team plays host to No. 3 seed Mount Union tonight at 4 p.m.
The winner of today’s game will face either Portage or Bishop Guilfoyle in the D6 Class 2A championship at a later date.
