The Indiana County Warriors Rugby team is back in action this Sunday as they look to clinch a state title against State College.
The Warriors beat Downington, 21-12, on Sunday to earn their spot in the state championship. Warriors head coach Zubin Billimoria credited his team’s success to their gritty attitude.
Billimoria adds that opposing teams know they’re in for a competition each time they play Indiana.
Scouts will also be on-hand at Sunday’s match as they look for Pennsylvania All-Stars, which could act as a launch point for players to play in college.
Sunday’s match will be at 2 p.m. and it will be played at the Penn State Univerty-Berks Stadium in Reading. It will be live-streamed on the Rugby Pennsylvania YouTube channel.
