As warmer weather makes its way to Indiana County, PennDOT is encouraging motorcyclists a chance to take part in free training courses geared towards helping riders stay safe on the roads this summer.
PennDOT said that more than 10,000 motorcycle riders were trained through these courses last year, and more than 549,000 have joined the program since its inception in 1984.
PennDOT Director of Driver Licensing Kara Templeton said that these free courses can help riders become more confident while maintaining safety when heading out on roads by tackling multiple issues.
Training is offered for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders. More information on these programs can be found by logging on to PennDOT’s website.
