Lisa Kaye Rupert, age 48, of Shelocta, passed away on Tuesday December 25, 2018 at St.Andrew’s Village, Indiana, with her family by her side.
She was born in 1970 in Indiana to Theodore and Twila VanHorn Rupert.
Lisa was a member of St. Jacob’s United Church of Christ, South Bend.
She graduated from Elderton High School and attended EMT classes at Butler Community College. Lisa was employed by Diamond Medical Supply for more than 20 years.
Lisa enjoyed baking cookies, especially at Christmas time. She shared her cookies with everyone. She also enjoyed making pizza and many other things. She loved reading, animals, attending the Pittsburgh Penguins games and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Her favorite vacation spot was going to Rehoboth Beach. She was a friend to everyone and liked to care for others, especially her parents.
She is survived by her parents of Shelocta; four sisters and two brothers – Larry Rupert and wife Darlene, Elderton; Beverly Gascoine and husband Jon, Indiana; Pat Jewart and husband Bud, Shelocta; Kathy Curry, Elderton; Connie Bunyak and husband Joe, Indiana; Jeff Rupert, Shelocta; numerous nieces and nephews; and her kitty Monkeypants.
Lisa was preceded in death by two nephews – Christopher Bunyak and Matthew Welteroth.
A private memorial service was held for the family at St. Andrew’s Village. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The Bowser-Minich Funeral Home in Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
