INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police report an incident of public drunkenness from over the weekend.
Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Locust St. shortly before 11 p.m. on Sunday after reports were made of an intoxicated man in the area. When police arrived, they found the man was Dean Hudson of Washington.
Hudson was arrested, cited for public drunkenness and lodged in Indiana County Jail.

State police in Indiana have released details regarding an incident of theft from a motor vehicle that happened in December 2021.
Troopers say that on December 1st around midnight, a few unidentified suspects broke into a car belonging to a 49-year-old man from Seward and stole upwards of $5,000 in checks and cash. One of those checks was deposited after one of the suspects forged the man’s signature signature.
An investigation is ongoing.
State police also report an incident of theft by deception after a 59-year-old man from Creekside has a credit card account opened under his name. Troopers say the suspect charged approximately $4,541.88 to the card, however the man would not be liable for the fraudulent charges.
An investigation is ongoing for this as well.
State police in Indiana also report an incident of simple assault and harassment following an incident dating back to May 6th.
Troopers say that between 1:20 and 1:30 p.m. on the aforementioned date, they were dispatched to White St. in Young Township for an incident involving a 36-year-old Saltsburg man who grabbed a 12-year-old girl by her hair, pulled her down and kicked her in the face, causing bruises and marks.
No word is available on if the man was charged or not.
