Authorities have not said whether an object found in a lake in Derry Township is related to the death of a Vandergrift woman two weeks ago. In fact, they’ve not said anything at all about what was recovered yesterday from the water at the Derry Rod & Gun Club.
Divers found the object after spending several hours yesterday at the club along Farm Lane. The Greensburg Fire Department dive team was joined by members of the Bradenville Fire Company.
A burned body believed to be that of 34-year-old Ronny Marie Cable was found March 17th in the woods off of Strawcutter Road. She had not been seen or heard from since the previous day, after she posted a Facebook message about going to Walmart and being seen on surveillance footage with two white men at a Walmart in Harrison Township that evening.
Police have said they have suspects in her death but have not announced any arrests. State police at the Kiski Valley barracks have not commented on the object found yesterday.
