The Steelers were busy on and off the field this weekend as the team announced that four of its 2022 draft picks signed their rookie contracts.
Second-round pick and Georgia standout WR George Pickens signed a four-year contract with the Steelers on Friday. The wideout hauled in 90 passes with the Bulldogs and collected 1,347 yard and 14 touchdowns.
On Saturday, the Steelers signed three more draft picks: sixth-round pick Connor Heyward and both seventh round picks, linebacker Mark Robinson and quarterback Chris Oladokun.
Heyward, the younger brother of Steelers DT Cam Heyward, is listed as a tight end/fullback hybrid and caught 35 passes for 326 yards and two touchdowns. In addition, he had 211 carries for 825 yards and five touchdowns at Michigan State.
Robinson played running back and linebacker at Ole Miss and is a five-tool player according to his player traits.
Oladokun was the Steelers’ final pick in the draft and will most likely compete for a back-up role in the QB room.
