Pennsylvania’s Lieutenant Governor and a candidate in the U.S. Senate race suffered a stroke on Friday.
Reports say that John Fetterman suffered the stroke Friday morning before he was scheduled to make a campaign stop at Millersville University. Fetterman’s wife, Giselle, noticed that John was not acting like himself and that he started to slur his words. He was taken to the hospital shortly after that. Fetterman and his campaign confirmed that he has been in the hospital for the entire weekend, but that he is on his way to a “full recovery”, and that the health scare is not slowing down his campaign.
Fetterman is one of four candidates running for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate seat currently occupied by Pat Toomey. His opponents are Alex Khalil, Connor Lamb and Malcolm Kenyatta.
