A few days ago, the Pittsburgh Penguins had the New York Rangers on the brink of elimination. Now both teams have that same feeling as game seven of their first-round Stanley Cup Playoff Series gets underway tonight.
The big question concerns the availability of Sidney Crosby, who left game 5 after a head shot by New York Ranger Jacob Trouba. Reports to ESPN say that Crosby suffered a concussion. Crosby took part in an optional practice on Saturday, and did not wear a non-contact jersey. Goalie Tristian Jarry was also a part of the optional practice. Jarry has not played in this series due to injury. Rickard Rakell also took part in that optional skate on Sunday.
While Coach Mike Sullivan did not say if any of those three would play on Sunday, he did say all three were travelling to New York for the game.
You can hear the game on U-92.5 FM and the U-92.5 Sports Channel starting at 6:00 with the pre-game show.
