Fire crews had a calm day on Sunday after two days of flood-related calls.
On Sunday, fire crews were dispatched six times. Two more pumping details were reported in the morning hours. One of those was at 9:42 AM on South Liberty Street in Burrell Township, and the other was a minute later at Hancock Street in Cherryhill Township. Blairsville and Clymer fire departments responded respectively.
A lines-down call was reported along Saltsburg Road in Conemaugh Township at 9:00 AM. Saltsburg fire department was dispatched at the time. Creekside fire department was called out for a physical rescue on Indiana Road in Creekside Borough at 11:29. Coal Run/McIntyre was called out for standby detail in Conemaugh Township at 10:05. One minute later, Iselin/West Lebanon Fire Department was called into Westmoreland County for a fire on Moween Road.
