Sunshine returns to the area for the first time in quite a while today and will stay around for at least a week, but there are still concerns from the soggy start to the weekend. Some roadways flooded yesterday, including Route 954 between Indiana Road and Chambersville Road in the Creekside area.
After dozens of firefighter responses for pumping details on Friday and early Saturday, the calls kept coming with five more dispatches after noon on Saturday, and with a summons for a water rescue on South Liberty Street in Burrell Township. Blairsville, Black Lick, Saltsburg, and Tunnelton firefighters responded, along with two ambulances and Blairsville Borough Police.
