The Indiana County Chamber of Commerce held a State of the County event today with the Indiana County Commissioners.
The breakfast event at the Hilton Garden Inn went through many questions submitted by members of the public. One of the popular topics raised was the issue of rural broadband connectivity. Commissioner Mike Keith had high praise for the progress that’s been made so far to get un-served areas broadband internet access.
When asked what can be done to help keep people in Indiana County, Sherene Hess said that there is a need to help with outdoor recreation amenities.
And Robin Gorman said that despite the decline in population from the U.S. Census results, this is the time to act and find a way to improve the county’s position.
