Pitt basketball coach Jeff Capel filled two open roster spots yesterday with a set of identical twin towers, 6-11 forward Guillermo Diaz Graham and his twin brother 6-10 forward Jorge.
The brothers announced their decision on their Instagram account. They played last season at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida after graduating from high school in their native Canary Islands.
Jorge averaged 15.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game last season and shot 44 percent on 3-point attempts. Guillermo averaged 12.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game and shot 32 percent from beyond the arc. Jorge ranks number 76 on the On3 2022 Player Rankings. Guillermo is at number 89.
After losing eight team members from last year’s roster, Capel has signed five new players this offseason.
