In addition to a busy morning, Indiana County emergency crews continued to answer calls this afternoon as multiple fire departments responded to a structure fire in West Mahoning Township shortly after noon.
Indiana County 911 reports that crews from Dayton, Marion Center, Perry and Plumville, along with Citizens Ambulance and the county HazMat team, responded to a fire on McCormick Road around 12:03 p.m., and fire crews from Rural Valley were called into assist a little over 10 minutes later.
Marion Center fire crews said in a Facebook post that the fire started in the chimney and spread to an interior wall. Crews were able to contain the fire and little damage was reported.
Two automatic fire alarms were also reported to Indiana County 911. The first report was located in White Township around 8 a.m. and the second was located at the Home Made Restaurant along Route 119 North in Home around 11:34 a.m.
Both were classified as false alarms.
