UPDATE: A business in Montgomery Township was destroyed by fire early this morning.
Indiana County 911 first sent Commodore, Clymer, Glen Campbell and Cherry Tree fire departments along with the Cambria County RIT team and Citizens Ambulance at 2:18 this morning for the reported fire at the Hillsdale Pallet Company on Route 286. Commodore fire officials reported that the first crews saw the one-story wood frame structure had fire coming from it with the roof already burnt through and collapsing in some areas. Crews had to establish a defensive strategy to fight the fire. Marion Center, Pine Township and Rossiter fire departments were called in later to provide a tanker assist.
Crews were on the scene for roughly four hours. No injuries were reported and no one was in the business at the time. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, but officials believe the fire was not suspicious in nature.
