A Blairsville woman charged with shooting and killing her boyfriend in Burrell Township back in 2021 was in court for a plea hearing today in a separate drug case..
28-year-old Matraca Lynn Vrana was sentenced to serve one month to a year in Indiana County Jail, along with paying costs and fines, for a single count of possession of drug paraphernalia. A criminal call hearing will be held on May 6th for this matter as well. The charge dates back to July 26, 2021, less than two months before she was charged with criminal homicide, voluntary manslaughter and aggravated assault for the fatal shooting of 27-year-old Matthew Hill of Blairsville on September 10th of 2021. Vrana was also charged in connection with a scheme to smuggle drugs into Westmoreland County Prison in 2020.
Also scheduled for sentencing were Harley Kenneth Donovan Christ of Frostproof, Central Florida, who was charged with rape by forcible compulsion in connection with an incident on April 13, 2018, and Harold Michael Franks, who is facing DUI and summary traffic violations for an incident on January 5, 2020.
No word is available on either of those sentencings.

28-year-old Matraca Lynn Vrana is due before Indiana County Judge Michael Clark for a plea hearing on two counts of possession of a controlled substance and a single charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. A criminal call hearing for her is scheduled for May 6th for this case as well.
