BLAIRSVILLE WOMAN ACCUSED IN 2021 SHOOTING DEATH TO HEAD TO COURT FOR DIFFERENT CASE

A Blairsville woman who is charged with shooting and killing her boyfriend in Burrell Township back in 2021 is due in court today for a plea hearing in a separate case.

28-year-old Matraca Lynn Vrana is due before Indiana County Judge Michael Clark for a plea hearing on two counts of possession of a controlled substance and a single charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.  A criminal call hearing for her is scheduled for May 6^th for this case as well.  The charges go back to July 26^th of 2021, less than two months before she was charged with criminal homicide, voluntary manslaughter and aggravated assault for the fatal shooting of 27-year-old Matthew Hill of Blairsville on September 10^th of 2021.  Vrana was also charged in connection with a scheme to smuggle drugs into Westmoreland County Prison in 2020.

Also going before Judge Clark for Plea Court hearings today is Harley Kenneth Donovan Christ of Frostproof in Central Florida.  He is charged with rape by forcible compulsion and aggravated indecent assault in connection with an incident on April 13^th of 2018.

And a plea and sentencing hearing is scheduled today for Harold Michael Franks, who is facing DUI and summary traffic violations for an incident on January 5^th of 2020.
