The Indiana County courts will be busy with several different hearings and meetings scheduled for today.
Among those hearings are sentencing hearings for a man charged in five cases. David Paul Holbein of Rural Valley pleaded guilty to nine drug-related charges, two counts of driving on a suspended license and violation of the steer-clear law for incidents in five cases from February of 2020 to August of last year.
Also due in court today is 44-year-old Matthew Lee Carl Wayne Tiger of Indiana, who pleaded guilty to harassment, public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in connection with an incident on September 2nd of 2021. State troopers were called out at 8:21 AM for a disturbance along Maple Avenue Extension, but he fled the scene by the time police got there. He was then seen walking into traffic and impeding oncoming vehicles at the intersection of Sharps Hill Road and Old William Penn Highway. He was eventually found by Blairsville Police.
