It was an active Saturday for Indiana County’s firefighters. They answered three calls for brush fires, along with summons for an accident, a fuel spill, and a vehicle fire.
The action started with a brush fire call for Homer City firefighters along Tearing Run Road in Center Township shortly before 11:30 AM.
Then at 12:43, Armagh firefighters were dispatched into Westmoreland County for a brush fire along Montana Lane in St. Clair Township.
Glen Campbell firefighters were called at 1:12 PM for a brush fire along Route 286 in Montgomery Township, and Cherry Tree and Commodore firefighters were soon sent to the scene as well.
Armagh firefighters were back in action with a call for an accident on Route 22 in East Wheatfield Township at 5:17 PM.
Perry Township, Jefferson County firefighters were sent to a fuel spill on Route 210 in North Mahoning Township at 9:03 PM.
Finally, just before 9:30 PM, Clyde, Blairsville, and Black Lick firefighters were dispatched for a vehicle fire on Route 22 in West Wheatfield Township, with Armagh and Seward sent soon afterward for tanker assist.
