Penguins CEO and president David Morehouse has resigned after 16 years with the team. The announcement was made in a news release by the team last night. The Penguins did not give a reason for the resignation.
President of hockey operations Brian Burke and chief operating officer and general counsel Kevin Acklin will run the day-to-day operations of the team until a permanent replacement is found. The Pens are off today and will play their final game of the regular season tomorrow night at PPG Paints Arena against Columbus.
