During Wednesday’s White Township Supervisors meeting, a lengthy discussion was held concerning the stewardship committee’s concerns over the Sunshine Law.
Township Manager Chris Anderson said that the board had some concerns over following the state’s sunshine law for their committee meetings. Anderson said that so far, sunshine laws have been adhered to.
In other business, Anderson updated the township supervisors on a claim recently filed with an insurance company. That claim was for S&T Bank arena revenue that was lost due to the Pandemic. At the start of the pandemic, the arena lost some revenue after being forced to close in March, which resulted in tournaments being cancelled, along with some free skate dates. Anderson said that the township has applied for close to $27,000. He is hopeful that the township will get a piece of that if not all.
