Earlier today, the Indiana County Commissioners approved the final CARES Act revolving loan fund loan.
The loan is for $34,000 and will go Pro-Com Cleaning Service LLC. This is the last loan as the funding for the program has now been exhausted. Over the last 22 months, Commissioners and members of the County Office of Planning and Development has been distributing grants of up to $50,000 to help with working capital costs like payroll, fringe benefits, utilities and rent. Josh Krug of the Office of Planning and Development called the effort from his crew “tremendous”.
The board also got an update from Emergency Management Director Tom Stutzman, who said that as far as Covid-19 is concerned, the county’s infection rate is beginning to climb slowly.
Stutzman added that on the good side, vaccination rates continue to increase slightly as well.
Finally, the commissioners authorized putting the county’s Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance out for public display for 60 days. This marks the first time the ordinance has been updated since 1991. The ordinance will be available at the legal library, all public libraries, the planning and development office and the county commissioners office for review from May 2nd to July 1st.
