No suspects have been named in a case of sexual assault in Westmoreland County. State police from the Indiana Barracks reported that the incident happened on April 23rd in the early morning hours at a home on Mt. Pleasant Road in East Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County. The victim made their way to Indiana Regional Medical Center and reported the assault hours later. The victim told police that she knew the identity of her attacker. Police are continuing to investigate.
One person had suspected minor injuries after a crash on Route 286 last Friday. State police say that 31-year-old Jason Link of Blairsville was driving his car on 286 north when he saw a deer in the roadway. When he veered away to avoid hitting the deer, he struck a utility pole on the right-hand side of the road. The car rolled several times before coming to a rest. Link was taken to IRMC for treatment.
