CANOE TOWNSHIP
In northern Indiana County, state police yesterday morning took a man and woman into custody after a Jefferson County Probation officer notified them that drugs were found inside their Canoe Township home.
The suspects are a 47-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman from Rossiter. Police found bags of crystal methamphetamine, glass smoking pipes, scales, and marijuana. The two suspects were arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Police have not identified the man who was found passed out at the wheel of his running vehicle yesterday at the Sheetz gas pumps in Homer City, but say he is suspected of being under the influence at the time. Charges against the 34-year-old are pending the results of his blood test. The incident happened at 11:44 yesterday morning.
