M. HELEN VENSEL, 101

M. Helen McKinney Vensel, age 101, died Wednesday, October
3, 2018 at Communities at Indian Haven.
She was born in 1917 in Rural Valley to Parks and Beulah
Campbell McKinney.
Mrs. Vensel was a member of the Harmony Presbyterian Church,
Penn Run, and the AARP Chapter 2581.
A resident of the Penn Run Area since 1946, she was a
homemaker.
Helen is survived by two son-in-laws, David Lewis, Armagh;
Albert Cosner, The Villages, FL; seven grandchildren, David P.
Lewis and wife Belinda, Buchannon, WV; Dennis D. Lewis and
wife Carol, Armagh; Lonnie McCroskey and husband Bill,
Blairsville; Larry J. Lewis and fiance Vivian, Armagh; Kathy D.
Schissler and husband David, The Villages, FL; Pamela R. Bove
and Husband Tom, Leesburg, VA; James A. Cosner and wife
Jacki, Lusby, MD; nine great grandchildren, Jon, Jordan,
Andrew, Gregory, Abbey, Dean, Ricky, Samantha, Melissa; four
great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Perry M. Vensel in
2000, two daughters, Joan Lewis and Carole Cosner, a
granddaughter Debbie Cosner, a great granddaughter, Kayla
Amos and her husband Daniel, and the following siblings,
Burton, Neil, Raymond, Daryl, Dean, and Laird McKinney.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M.
at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral
service will be held Sunday at 2 P.M. with the Rev. Rick Corbett
officiating. Interment will be made in the Harmony Cemetery,
Penn Run.
