OLAF MARX, 55

Olaf Marx, 55, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, PA.
The son of Heinz and Magdelina (Schröder) Marx, he was born June 29, 1963 in Rothenbergen, Germany.
Olaf was employed by Johnson Controls as an electrical tech for 18 years.
He loved spending time with his family, enjoyed barbecuing, fishing and liked woodworking in his spare time.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy L. (Kitzmiller) Marx whom he married December 22, 1994; a daughter, Viviane M.W. Marx of Blairsville and a son, Daniel A. Marx of Blairsville; a sister, Ellen Cindric of Iselin; a brother, Frank Marx and wife, Judith of Rothenbergen, Germany and a sister, Waltraud (Marx) Vormwald and husband, Volker of Rothenbergen, Germany.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Karl Marx.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 8:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.
