The national and statewide average cost of a gallon of gas has stabilized over the last few days, but Indiana County’s average has gone down slightly.
The national average according to Triple A this morning is $4.12 a gallon. While over the last 24 hours showed no change in the average, but it is an increase of five cents over the last week, and a decrease of 11 cents over the last month. Pennsylvania’s Average is $4.20 a gallon. That’s a slight decrease from yesterday, but it is an increase of four cents from last week. Last month, the average was 11 cents higher at $4.31 a gallon.
Indiana County’s Average this morning is $4.15 a gallon, a two-cent decrease over the last week. Cambria County has the lowest average in the region at $4.12 a gallon, then Indiana, then Westmoreland at $4.16, Clearfield at $4.17 a gallon, Armstrong at $4.18 a gallon and Jefferson is the highest in the region at $4.19 a gallon.
In Indiana County, Shelocta has the highest gas price according to Gasbuddy.com at $4.19 a gallon. Prices in Indiana and Clymer are at $4.17 a gallon. Meanwhile, Gas Prices in both Blairsville and Homer City have gone to $4.09 a gallon.
