WALK TO WHITE’S WOODS PLANNED FOR EARTH DAY

As part of Indiana County’s celebration of Earth Day, a special walk has been scheduled today for the White’s Woods area.

Today’s walk to White’s Woods will run from 4-6 PM and people are encouraged to walk to the 12^th Street Entrance of the Nature Center.  Those living further away from White’s Woods are encouraged to drive close to the area, and then park and walk to the Nature Center.  One of the organizers of the event, Amber Lawrence, said that 12 organizations will also have tables set up for the event.

People are also invited to bring their “unplugged” instrument for a jam session and the first 100 walkers who show up can claim up to two oak seedlings courtesy of the One Million Trees group.
