Martha L. (Fox) Gromley, age 96, of Rural Valley, (Atwood), died Friday, July 27, 2018 at herhome.
She was born in 1922 in Janesville to Frederick L. and Loretta Jane Meckley Fox.
Martha was a member of the Sagamore Wesleyan Methodist Church and was active in the church’s Sunday School Class.
She was a homemaker and a resident of Atwood since 1947.
Surviving are three daughters and one son – Patricia Pallone and husband Ted, Shelocta; Jean Williams, New Bethlehem; Leota Gromley, Indiana; and Thomas Gromley, Smicksburg; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Robert H. Gromley in 2000, two grandchildren – Darlene Williams and Randy Pallone, daughter-in-law Carol Steel Gromley, and two brothers – Paul and Raymond Fox.
Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Thaddeus Taylor officiating. Interment will be made in the Atwood Cemetery.
