Margaret C. (Kerr) Caldwell, 89 of Indiana, died Wednesday, July 18th at Beacon Ridge. Born, October 29th, 1928 in North Point, she was the daughter of Kenneth M. and M. Gladys (Jordan) Kerr. She was the widow of Karl A. Caldwell, who died in 2011 following over 65 years of marriage.
Margaret went to school in Curwensville. She was a past member of the Eastern Star.
Margaret was a cake decorator by trade and worked at many of the local supermarkets over the years.
She enjoyed camping, travel and bingo. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and especially enjoyed helping with the quads as they were growing up. Margaret was also known by many friends and family for her baking over 300 dozen cookies at Christmastime.
She is survived by her children Janet Campbell and her husband Walter of Armagh and Chris Caldwell and his wife Karen of Indiana. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Kathleen Caldwell of Kentucky. Margaret’s five grandchildren include: Jacinda Walls (Joe); Malinda Rohrabaugh (Garrett); Heather Terech (Pete); Eric Campbell (Cheanawin); and Lindsay Walker (Scott). Her 13 great-grandchildren include Shyloh, Levi, Noah, Caleb, Sasha and Jada Walls; Kelsey and Seth Rohrabaugh; Kevin and Matthew Terech; and Ben, Nate and Samuel Walker.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Karl, Margaret was preceded in death by her son Gary Caldwell and her sisters Bessie Rowles and Maxine McKee.
Friends will be received Saturday, July 21st from 2-4 PM at Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home of Indiana. Her Service will begin at 4 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Pastor Joseph Walls, Sr. will officiate. Internment will be private at Oakland Cemetery.
