Marie V. Lewis, 89, of Indiana, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018, at St. Andrew’s Village.
A daughter of the late Ross Alvin and Florence Miller McHolland, she was born Dec. 25, 1928, in Lucernemines.
Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed drawing, gardening, cooking, doing crossword puzzles, watching wrestling and Pirates baseball and listening to Elvis Presley. Mrs. Lewis was the last surviving member of her family.
She is survived by six children: Arnold A. Lewis, of Indiana; Betty Jean Alexander, of Sewickley; Joyce E. Peters, of Pittsburgh; Brenda L. Lewis, of Punxsutawney; Charles B. Lewis, of Indiana; and Carla A. Lewis, of Clymer; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Blair Lewis; and two brothers: Clair Elvin McHolland and Blaine McHolland.
There is no visitation. Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Robinson-Lytle, Inc., Indiana, is in charge of arrangements.
