The Steelers yesterday claimed wide receiver Miles Boykin off waivers from the Baltimore Ravens. Boykin was a Notre Dame teammate of Steelers wideout Chase Claypool and was the Ravens’ third-round draft choice in 2019.
Like Claypool, Boykin is a big receiver, standing 6-feet-4 inches tall and weighing 220 pounds. He had just one reception and played only 35 offensive snaps in an injury-plagued 2021 season and has 33 catches for 470 yards and seven touchdowns in 40 career games.
The Steelers also announced the linebacker Marcus Allen signed his one-year contract tender, worth $2.54 million.
And the team has added an assistant quarterbacks coach. David Corley spent last season as running backs coach at Richmond University. He is a former wide receivers coach at Penn State. He’s also coached at South Carolina State, Army, and Connecticut.
