Carol A. Rhine age 68 of Homer City, died Monday, May 7, 2018 at her home.
She was born in 1950 in Indiana to Joseph Raymond Shaffer and Helen (Hauck) Edwards.
Carol was an active member of the Indiana Wesleyan Methodist Church in various ministries, including cooking at many church camps.
She was homemaker and had worked part-time at Keeper of the Flame Personal Care Home.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, and serving others.
She lived her life to serve her God, love her husband and children, and help raise and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Lawson Rhine, Homer City; three sons – Lawson, Latrobe; Keith and companion Kelly, Penn Run; Jeremy and wife
Shandra, Leechburg; six grandchildren – Courtney, Taylor, Travis, Jennifer, Brooklynn, Laylah; three sisters and four brothers – Betty Rounsley and husband Tom, St. Benedict; Kathy Bobik and husband Greg, Nicktown; Donna Shaffer, Twin Rocks; J. Raymond Shaffer, Whitehall, WI; Jeffrey Shaffer and wife Mindy, Vintondale; Gregory Shaffer and wife Sue, Revloc; Roger Shaffer and wife Ann, Johnstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother William Shaffer.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 A.M. at the Indiana Wesleyan Methodist Church with the Rev. Benjamin Blowers officiating.
Interment will be made in the Brush Valley Cemetery.
