Isaac “Ike” P. Meckley, 75, of Clymer, PA, went home to be with the Lord from his home on Thursday, April 26, 2018.
The son of Isaac and Thelma Hope (Haight) Meckley, he was born on February 22, 1943 in Clymer, PA.
Ike was a graduate of the Purchase Line Class of 1962. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Clymer, PA.
He enjoyed music and spending time with his family. Prior to his retirement in 2004, Ike worked for the Purchase Line School District as a maintenance supervisor for over 40 years.
Ike married Carolyn Esther (Buterbaugh) Meckley on September 6, 1963.
He is survived by his wife of more than 54 years; his children: Teresa Martin and husband, John of Indiana, PA; Britta Colgan and husband, Bob of Indiana, PA; Scott Meckley and wife, Faith of Commodore, PA; Jackie Meckley of Indiana, PA and Candi Czar and husband, Marlon of Northern Cambria, PA; his eleven grandchildren: Caleb Martin; R.J. Colgan; Brittney (Colgan) Dietrick and husband, Eric; Charly (Colgan) Hitchcock and husband, Brad; Sam Colgan; Austin, Shane and Noah Meckley and Levi; Eva and Olivia Czar; his two great-grandchildren: Chloe Colgan and Grayson Dietrick; his sister: Sharon Stiffler and husband, Tom of Commodore, PA and his brother: Bob Meckley and wife, Susan of Commodore, PA.
Ike was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Richard and Rodney Meckley.
Family and friends will be received 7-9:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, 2018 and again from 10-11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA, where an 11:00 a.m. funeral service will be held with Pastor Wilbur Barber officiating. Interment will be at East Union Presbyterian Cemetery in Taylorsville, PA.
