IUP star Delaney Concannon is at it again. The junior outside hitter is again the PSAC West Volleyball Athlete of the Week after a dominant weekend in which she totaled 35 kills, 30 digs, eight service aces and 45 points across eight sets in wins over Clarion and Slippery Rock.
Concannon helped the Crimson Hawks finish the weekend 2-0 and improve to 18-4 overall and 11-1 in PSAC play. She also reached a career milestone against Clarion, surpassing 1,000 career digs.
Concannon was the PSAC West Athlete of the Week last month in Week Two of the season and was the Defensive Athlete of the Week just two weeks ago, in Week Seven.
IUP moved up five spots in the latest NCAA Division II NPI rankings, climbing from number 32 to number 27 nationally, and the Crimson Hawks remain number two in the new Atlantic Region ranking, just behind Gannon. The rest of the Top Eight includes Shepherd, Fairmont State, Clarion, Livingstone, and Lock Haven.
